Día de Muertos coasters
Día de Muertos (translated to "Day of the Dead") is a Mexican holiday where people gather together to remember and celebrate the lives of their ancestors. They believe that on these days of celebration, the spirits of their loved ones come back and are with them. The decorative skull, or calaveras, was initally drawn by artist José Guadalupe Posada, and was of a female skull with a bog floppy hat and flowers. To this day, the image of the decorated skull represents Dia de Muertos in costume, food and decorations.
