So, on the last day of February - the 28th - (except this year because it is a leap year), I celebrate my coming into the world. This year, I celebrate a milestone birthday.....I turn the big 5 0. Yep, despite my youthful looks and perky boobs*, I really am turning 50. I can't believe it myself. Imagine making it this far?! Especially when I think back to all the shenanigans I got up to in uni and when I first started working........maybe those things are best left untold!
So for the past little while (ok, since last year really), people close to me have asked me what I want to do to mark this occasion. I DON'T KNOW!!! And now I'm running out of time to organise something to do for the BIG day. So I have come to the decision that turning 50 is a bloody big deal. Let's face it, there are a heap of people that don't make it this far, and the shear fact that I have survived through various mishaps, disasters, learning to drive, uni, the dairy crisis, having kids (none of these are in any particular order), I think I deserve stretching the celebrations out.
So I have decided that I won't do ONE big event. I want to have the opportunity to catch up with a stack of people that have been part of my life. This means that I may have to travel to see them, or they will come to me. There will be intimate gatherings and there will be medium parties. But I'm calling it the
"FESTIVAL OF FIFTY"
I am extending the "Festival" to include my customers as well. For the month of February, I will be giving a discount on any purchases from my shop! Yep, you read that right...I will be giving a 10% discount on EVERY ITEM in my shop from Feb 1 through to Feb 29.
And it doesn't stop there!
Over on my Facebook page, I will be running a competition, and one lucky person will receive a 500ml hand decorated insulated drink bottle for FREE (value of $40). Check out the details on my Facebook page in the coming days!
I will also be offering prizes, giveaways and a heap of other stuff over the month, so make sure that you check in on all the socials and also my website & shop!
So let's get ready to celebrate.
(*youthful looks and perky boobs may be all in my mind.... in fact, they are!)
