Doin' it for the "girls"

Sam Simpson

So October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and around the country, numerous groups and organisations are getting behind supporting the medical groups, the support groups and the research groups that are working to help those that are afflicted now, and those that will be afflicted in the future.

But COVID19 has no doubt made this year's fund-raising all that more harder as we are mostly still in lockdown or under restrictions. Many of us are going online to try to generate a few bucks to offer as a donation.

I am getting behind this. As you know, I am also a dairy farmer and each year, we buy pink silage plastic to show our support to those that are battling the insidious disease. Part of the money that we buy the plastic goes to breast cancer research. But this year, I decided that my own business will contribute too.

So, for the month of October, I will donate 10% of my sales to the McGrath Foundation to help fund breast cancer nurses to be out in the communities doing what they do best. But, I need your help. I cannot do this alone. I need sales in order to donate money. That's where YOU come in.

PLUS....and this is the exciting part.....ALL sales during October will go into the draw to win a 12oz insulated wine tumbler (it will be decorated PINK in keeping with October's theme!). So what are you waiting for! And the more you buy, the more entries you get into the draw.

Check out my online shop. I'm loading new things on there all the time. If you have an idea for something and you don't see it, please contact me to discuss. There are a number of items that I make that are never advertised - they are simply one offs that I make for someone that asks me. I've made 50th birthday t.shirts, cake toppers (that have some sweaty words on them!), personalised mugs and aprons and just recently, a resin wine tumbler designed from an image supplied to me.

So come on over and support me. Tell your friends about my online shop too. RUN ME OFF MY FEET! I welcome the challenge! All in a great cause.
