Well I don't know about you, but I am bloody exhausted. I spent more than double the time I should have, going to 3 different supermarkets on the weekend and I still didn't get everything. But that is the norm these days. Maybe this way of shopping is here to stay for a bit. I don't know.
I get it though. I really do. I have a respiratory compromised child and I REALLY don't want or need him to get this virus. That said, we are on high alert ANY flu season. Every winter I spend countless nights, lying awake listening to him breathe, just making sure that he doesn't need assistance. This has just heightened my awareness.
But my other kids...well, they are all hale and hearty and will probably be fine if they contract it. But they will then pass it off onto their sibling and that's not ok.
So I get the fact that people are stockpiling. I get the fact that COVID19 is all we can talk about. I get it, that people are nervous and worried.
As you are aware, I also run a dairy farm (yay!, we are good for milk, cream, butter and soft cheeses), but we are watching, waiting, trying to anticipate what this will all mean for us of the processors shut down. Or the transport operators cease. Or our staff can't make it on (you're up kids!).
Fortunately, this side business I run is still operational. I still have goods. I still have resources. So rest assured, you can still get goodies for Easter - or whenever - from me. And the best bit? You don't even need to tackle the crowds. You don't even need to leave your house! Brilliant.
Now if I could send you some dunny roll, it'd be even better! But sorry, can't quite swing that!!!
